Business School Rankings
Business school rankings can be highly beneficial during the process of deciding on an MBA program- and, well, it's just plain interesting to see which schools come out on top each year. However, it is important to understand MBA rankings are formed through a highly subjective process, or more accurately, processes. MBA school rankings come from many different sources, and many of these sources rely on varying criteria (methodology), to determine program rank. Therefore, it is important to take into consideration the methodology of a particular source as it relates to your needs. On the one hand, Business Week MBA rankings stem from student surveys, recruiter surveys and starting salaries, among other criteria. On the other hand, Forbes generated MBA program rankings based off "return on investment". The information was gathered from alumni over the course of five years. These are just two examples, among many, of the different ways in which rankings are generated. To view
